Mel Brooks' musical <cite>The Producers</cite> opened in the spring of 2001 and blazed like a comet over Broadway for the next six years. That brilliance may have dimmed a bit in its transition to the Concert Venue at Harrah's in Atlantic City, but it remains the quintessential example of American musical comedy.
