A Little Night Music strays a lot off key, by Robert Feldberg
A Little Night Music, the 1973 Stephen Sondheim–Hugh Wheeler musical about a series of semi-farcical romantic misadventures, is a hard show to warm up to. The mostly tiresome revival that opened Sunday at the Walter Kerr Theatre, headlined by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, doesn't give much reason for reappraisal.
