HBO bows out of 'Ruined' screen adaptation
HBO has bowed out of "Ruined," a planned screen adaptation of the acclaimed play by Lynn Nottage. The drama, set in a brothel in the war-torn Democratic Republic of Congo, had been a project between HBO Films and Harpo Films, Oprah Winfrey's production company.
