Winding path to the stage: Jersey songwriter Jonathan Brielle brings his latest offering, 'Himself and Nora,' to the New York Musical Theatre Festival
He's played in rock bands, written a Broadway score, conceived a show that ran for 10 years in Las Vegas, and explored varied genres from jazz to folk to hip-hop. In the beginning, Brielle says, "I was too theatrical for rock and too rock for theater. What's wonderful about today is that everything has kind of morphed together. I don't feel too 'too' for anything."
