In 2002, the playwright and composer brothers rewrote Silence of the Lambs, the 1991 world-renowned masterpiece of terror, into Silence!, a musical comedy for the stage. Their inspiration for the show came not from Hannibal Lecter, but the movie's other awful villain, the cross-dressing tailor-turned-serial killer whose nasally, overblown voice has become iconic to horror fans.
