Shadow Lounge, London: Burlexe attempts to bring a sense of social history to the art of striptease by interspersing the acts with pertinent dramatic monologues. The venue is a subterranean Soho nightclub, complete with illuminated disco floor, which adds a certain authenticity to the proceedings but an attempt at formal seating seems at odds with the refreshingly relaxed format of the show.
