Romeo and Juliet, Church End Brewery, Nuneaton by Roderic Dunnett

Church End Brewery, Nuneaton: This show blows hot and cold. It wastes time getting going, with ponderous, audience-patronising preliminaries, and is woefully short on cogent, useful ideas. Yet in Act II the billowing tension, sense of inevitabilty and youthful idealism (Ben Burman and Phillipa Flynn) bring it to a memorable, even tear-jerking conclusion.
