Homophobic Slurs Interrupt University of Mississippi Production of The Laramie Project; Actors and Faculty Respond
The Oct. 1 performance of University of Mississippi's production of Moisés Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project's The Laramie Project, based on the 1998 murder of University of Wyoming gay student Matthew Shepard, was disrupted by a group of college football players, who called out homophobic slurs from the audience.
