Tony Nominee Norm Lewis Prepares to Make History in Broadway's Phantom
Norm Lewis, a Tony Award nominee for his performance as Porgy in The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess, will become the first African-American performer to star in the title role in the New York production of The Phantom of the Opera when he adorns the famed mask May 12. The performer is at a loss for words.
