Stephen Sondheim and Meryl Streep Receive Presidential Medal of Freedom by Michael Gioia

Stephen Sondheim, the legendary songwriter of Into the Woods, and Meryl Streep, the star of the upcoming film adaptation of that musical, are among the 19 individuals who receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom Nov. 24.
