Theatre Royal, Nottingham: I'm still marvelling how these Seven Dwarfs managed to dance on their knees, in a neat twist to the plot that presents them as banished courtiers. This is a marvellous panto altogether. A cracking good script is stuffed with contemporary and local references, and a seasoned cast of principals sees Andrew Ryan as Nurse Nelly, Ben Nickless as Muddles and Lesley Joseph as the wicked Queen…
