UPDATE: John Cameron Mitchell Hopes to Return to HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH on Tuesday After Knee Injury by BroadwayWorld

Now according to the show's official Twitter page, the star is on the mend 'JCM in good spirits. His knee being checked out by doctor. We hope he will return to Hedwig on Tuesday, our next scheduled performance.'
