Woolly Mammoth "Zombie: The American"
Robert O'Hara's comic-tragic-romantic-political mashup, is the kind of engrossing, utterly out-there play that has made the reputation of Washington's Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company. Under the direction of Howard Shalwitz, it works like a steamroller of entertainment, obliterating all obstacles until it turns overly preachy near the end.
