Misty Copeland, the ballerina who was promoted in June to principal dancer with the American Ballet Theatre--the first African-American actress to make that leap--makes more history Aug. 25 when she joins the Broadway cast of On the Town, stepping into the role of aspiring ballet dancer Ivy Smith, the show's elusive Miss Turnstiles.
