What was Robin Pogrebin, a reporter for The New York Times, thinking? Yesterday, Pogrebin filed a story for the Times regarding the re-opening of The Rocky Horror show. It said, in part,
The Broadway version of "The Rocky Horror Show," which closed Sept. 23 because of the terrorist attacks, is planning to reopen on Oct. 30 and to play through Jan. 6 at its original home, Circle in the Square Theater.
I really hope that neither Jordan Roth, nor anyone else associated with the production, attributed the close of the show to the attack on the World Trade Center. If they did, it is opportunistic, cowardly and disrespectful of both the theatre community and those who perished in the Sept 11th events.

Nothing like negotiating your contract in the pages of the New York Post... Ouch. But if it does work out, I think Cindy will be good in this role. It just needs someone with quick wit and a thick skin. A bit of stunt casting, yes, but no more than putting Rosie into Cat in the Hat. It still won't save the show though.
