‘Xanadu’ conjures kitschy magic at Starlight Theatre
Try as they may, the creators of the stage musical “Xanadu,” which runs through Sunday at Starlight Theatre, just can’t capture the unique awfulness of the 1980 movie that inspired it. What they can do is make fun of the film and the era from which it sprang, which they do with unbridled enthusiasm.
