Labor Day, Anyone? by Don Hall

Last week, as I finished my twelve-hour day of work for $3.15 per hour, I severely twisted my ankle on the factory floor and was shit out of luck because there was no worker's compensation at my workplace.  I couldn't skip out of my weekend shifts (I worked seven days a week and could be fired if I sneezed wrong so missing a day for twisted ankle was sure to lose me job) so I figured I'd just suck it up and hope…
