There was plenty to celebrate, with a grand new theater, an audience eager to be entertained, and a stage full of Broadway and Hollywood luminaries offering a centennial salute to beloved Broadway composer Richard Rodgers -- as appropriate a theme as any for a new theater that will be devoted chiefly to musical theater.
