PLAYBILL ON-LINE'S BRIEF ENCOUNTER with Twyla Tharp

Choreographer Twyla Tharp's work has appeared on Broadway before, in limited-run dance pieces and the 1985 musical, Singin' in the Rain, but certainly nothing she's done in the commercial theatre has attained the high profile of her current collaboration with Billy Joel, Movin' Out, which opens on Broadway Oct. 24 after a long, sometimes bumpy tryout in Chicago.
