They're fiddling on hot tin roof by Howard Kissel

Musicians should not be sacrificed in the battle to lower the cost of producing shows. It is absurd, for example, that Glenn Close's weekly salary in "Sunset Boulevard" was probably equivalent to the payroll for the entire orchestra.<br /> But unless some compromises on minimums are reached quickly, this strike will be not only destructive but deeply self-destructive.
