But when Richard Dreyfuss was fired from the London stage musical of the same title, Nathan Lane - slated to star in the movie with Matthew Broderick - had to fly across the pond to replace Dreyfuss.<br /> The loss of Lane has put the picture, which is to be shot at the new Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, on hold.
