Helen Stenborg, Mother of Doug Hughes, Dies; Played in "Wit," "Vigil"

Yet another bit of sad news: Actress Helen Stenborg, mother of director Doug Hughes and actress daughter Laura Hughes, died at her Manhattan home Tuesday. She was 86. She was also the wife of actor Barnard Hughes, who died in 2006. They were married 56 years.
