'War Horse' is beautiful but a bit of a warhorse
"War Horse," directed by Steven Spielberg and featuring Jeremy Irvine and Emily Watson, is a movie about a boy and his horse. Though it's beautifully shot, Seattle Times film critic Moira Macdonald found the film to be, well, a bit like the other kind of warhorse " a stale story, too-often told. The film is playing at several Seattle theaters and opens Sunday, Dec. 25.
