The original production of Evita opened its 1,567-performance run Sept. 25, 1979, starring Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, who both received Tonys for their work. With the revival of the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical ending its run Jan. 26 at the Marquis Theatre, we offer another look (and listen) to several versions of the musical's best-known song, "Don't Cry for Me Argentina."
