The (Post) Mistress was a huge success for Ship's Company in Parrsboro, NS. It was hardly surprising it was: the work bares the imprimatur of the brilliant playwright Tomson Highway; it offers a magnificent (singing) role to an actor ready to sink her teeth into it - which Martha Irving surely did; and it tells stories (read: gossip) conveyed to us by a nosey post-mistress through a cycle of songs.
