THE SCREENING ROOM: The Hills are Alive! Videos Inspired by The Sound of Music by Playbill Staff

The Rodgers & Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music swept Broadway when it opened in 1959, earning nine Tony Award nominations and winning five. The 1965 film adaptation, starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, quickly rose to worldwide fame and adoration, receiving 10 Academy Award nominations and winning five.
