Unicorn, London: This ingenious, quasi-feminist, uncompromising reworking of Dr Faustus for 21st century young audiences is entirely written in iambic pentameter, which gives it unusual lyricism. It also means that in places it inches towards wordiness and occasionally begins to feel worthy, but on the whole it succeeds pretty well, even managing to hook some of the philosophy up with world ecology issues.
