Live Version of Rio is Flying to Brazil; Is Broadway Next? Alvin and the Chipmunks Also In the Works by Ryan McPhee

Those talking birds may be coming to Broadway! Producer Michael Cohl has revealed plans to stage a live version of the computer-animated 2011 film Rio, according to the Wall Street Journal. The show would launch in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil around the time of the 2016 Olympics in the city. Following that, the show would come to the Great White Way.
