Will Color Purple Star Play Aretha Franklin in New Film? by Andrew Gans

Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson, who will make her Broadway debut this season in the revival of The Color Purple, is currently in talks to play the Grammy winning "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin in an upcoming biopic, according to TheWrap.com.
