Kecia Lewis Assumes Title Role in Off-Broadway's Mother Courage, Replacing Tonya Pinkins by Robert Viagas

Broadway actress Kecia Lewis will assume the title role of the Classic Stage Company production of Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, succeeding Tonya Pinkins, who resigned from the production during previews in a dispute with director Brian Kulick. The planned Jan. 5-7 performances have been cancelled; Lewis will play her first performance Jan. 8.
