South Carolina Philharmonic Music Director Nicholas Smith to Step Down in 2007 by Ben Mattison

Nicholas Smith, music director of the South Carolina Philharmonic since 1993, will step down when his contract expires at the end of the 2006-07 season, the Columbia-based orchestra announced.
