Prime Stage gets in the trenches for the U.S. premiere of 'All Quiet on the Western Front'
The ravages of World War I on the other side of the trenches made Erich Maria Remarque's 1929 novel "All Quiet on the Western Front" a sensation everywhere but Germany, where it was banned by the Nazis. The view of war through the eyes of young German soldiers became a 1930 Oscar-winning film, but it was almost 75 years before it was adapted for the theater, premiering in the UK in 2006.
