Tricycle, LondonIndhu Rubasingham makes a strong start to her tenure at the Tricycle with this new play about the pride and prejudice that greeted the pioneering African-American actor Ira Aldridge in 19th-century London. Lolita Chakrabarti's text has some minor flaws, but opens up a fascinating subject and gets a major performance from Adrian Lester that whets the appetite for his Othello at the National next year.C…
